Oh, Cam. You really managed to bring home how terrified and useless he must have felt when he got the call. Contrasting it with their domestic and peaceful weekend together made it even more painful.

I want one of those pizzas!

Very nice. Poor Cam, how many reports has he read like that? Too many, I'm sure.

Oh, this was really, really nice! So sweet and homey and comfortable, with a slap in the face of angst at the end. Poor Cam! *cuddles him* *cuddles John too*

Sorry for not getting back to you re doing a beta--I spent all yesterday working on taxes. :P

Aww, I love the portrayal of the two of them hanging out together! And poor Cam! The whole grieving-and-unable-to-tell-anyone bit always gets to me.

It's funny, I wasn't thinking of John's choice of pizza toppings as stereotypically gay so much as reflective of his upbringing.

I love well-done angst, so I tend to embrace the secret grief thing. Though I tend to think Cam might have one or two friends he could tell. John...maybe not. (Maybe Teyla. But then you run the risk of recreating the same stereotypes we were ranting about on that other post.)

My brother's gay and would totally go for those types of toppings. But then, he also cures his own bacon and dabbles in molecular gastronomy at home in his spare time, so he's perhaps more stereotypical foodie than stereotypical gay man. I tend to think of those food preferences more as a class thing than a stereotypically gay thing, but it's possible I'm not well-versed in those particular stereotypes.

I totally felt like my mom reading this. XD I wibbled at all the angst, then just wanted to bawl more when it turned out everything was okay. Very sweet fic, thanks for sharing. ♥

You made me flail at the end there. I adored how domesticated they were, it really added to Cam's OCD-style breakdown where he kept re-organising his DVDs. That scene was really well done. And the end? Oh, I hope Sam or someone noticed and was able to be there for him! *hearts* I love this.

Awwww....

Poor Cam! That poor woobie. The cost of loving John Sheppard and vice versa.

Great fic and I'd love to read more. Sequel? Please?

Ooooh, there so isn't enough John/Cam love out there. This is adorable, fluff and angst combined. My heart just went out to Cam when I saw the bit about the roasted artichoke hearts. So glad that John survived. Off to read the next bit!
